what does it mean to have a dream. 

To escape one world for the promise of another,

surviving isn't living when you provide the fantasy for other. 

Anora is a film about a 23 year old sex worker living in the coney island area of New York City, 

but really this film explores themes of class with Anora marrying a the son of wealthy Russian family and the stigma of Ani( Anora) line of work. 


I love Anora she feels real and the film does spend time giving you a POV of her daily work life. 

She's good at her job and how she carries herself reflects that. 

She's shown engaging with her co-worker in a healthy way

She has a work bestie (lulu) 

She has a relationship with her boss that feels real and not cartoonish 

she smokes on her lunch break and has to deal with rude ass hating ass co-worker that i feel most have encountered. 

She understands her place in this world at work understanding that she has no work related benfits and that her income is based on her and HER alone which is throne in her bosses face when demanding time off 

Anora feels real by the 15 minute mark when we meet IVAN ( rich boy no swag) 

and the film does a great job of taking you on this journey and you feel the highs and you feel those gut settling moments of saddness but its the sadness you feel when you have to accept the fact rather than the dream you were living in


I think alot of these themes are shown towards the end of the film and how we start to see those walls expose the what lies on the surface.

Alien:Romulus 5/10 STARS

    I'm a big fan of the film Aliens.  I watched it all the time growing up, it was a movie that I shared with my father and my two older brothers.  The trailer and the posters looked promising, I really didn't invest a whole lot of thought into this movie and when it came out it was on my short list of movies to see in the theater.  I WISH I NEVER LEFT MY HOUSE.  I will say this!  It was super gory and bloody!!! some of these deaths were FUCKED up and also the sexual violence was unsettling which has been a core theme throughout the series but it was taken to 11 in this movie.  Andy was a cool character and the actor plays a non human character with such soul. this isnt a movie review its more of a cannabis rant !!!

 Been working in the Cannabis retail industry for about a year now.  I want to RANT SO HARDDDDDD Two things im going to rank is the culture we have allowed cannabis to become as consumers to get like this.  As a budtender i have accepted that people who smoke this product know nothing and are being tricked by the marketing.  Or is it the fact that no one even me for a very long time just didn't want to spend the five minutes it take to have a base understanding of THC.   Anyways I just want people to stop yelling at me when the education and the first hand experience that i have allows me to further explain your question you have.
